Theories On The Power of Positive Thought
75Positive Thinking
Our personal power develops when we practise becoming positive in our thoughts.
When you want to think positively about a person, place or thing, sit up straight!
From the nape of your neck to your tailbone, align your spine. Imagine a root growing straight down from the nape of your neck, through the tailbone, and rooted in the ground.
Imagining this hypothetical root helps to create a solid foundation for positive energy. It also helps to solidify a positive thought process.
The Law of Attraction...and The Purpose..
The energies that we attract to ourselves are in direct relation to how we think of ourselves.
When you think you can, you will.
The opposite is also true.
When you think you cannot, you won't.
The purpose of Nature, the reason we are here on this planet, is to explore opportunities for advancement and unfoldment of life. Every human deserves, and has access to the power, elegance, and beauty of life and the ability to feel joyous.
Why content ourselves with less when there is such an abundance, enough for everyone.

The Cost
The cost to us, when we settle for less, is feelings of frustration, impatience, sadness, despair, confusion, loneliness, and anger. This is a daunting line up.
There are abundant riches available for every human on the planet. A vast wealth of love, peace and happiness, available for anyone that chooses to embrace life.
When we open our eyes, hearts and minds to the possibility of actualising our hopes and dreams, we are able to manifest great things.
The power created as the result of a positive thought process helps us dare to succeed. The unattainable becomes attainable.
Peace and happiness become less illusive.
Worthy
First and foremost you need to feel worthy. Worthy and deserving of experiencing peace, love and happiness.
When we don't feel worthy, a fear of success manifests itself. When we do not feel worthy we forget how to communicate clearly.
When we give in to our dragons and continue to believe in our unworthiness, we become stuck and are unable to visualise a productive and positive future for ourselves.
I Think I Can, I Think I Can..
When we get stuck in a negative thought process, we rob ourselves of the ability to enjoy and revel in our life, past and present.
It takes courage and determination to turn that frown upside down, but it is possible.
Each time you catch yourself in a negative thought process, remind yourself of positive memory from your past. If you remain diligent and repeat this exercise time and again, eventually you will have replaced all negative thought with positive thought.
It sounds very simplistic and therein lies the beauty of it.
It is a simple, yet challenging, concept to grasp. When we learn to keep it simple, stay in the moment and have faith, life becomes brighter. We become open to possibiites of manifesting a pleasant, peaceful and abundant future for ourselves.
Many of us, day after day, sometimes year after year, plod along sabatoging our own happiness because of this, that, and other. Sabotaging our own success, our right to shine, becomes very time consuming and draining.
As we age, if we are not efficient and motivated about living our best life in the moment, the sack full of black past becomes heavier and heavier.
Some of us succeed in slaying our dragons. Some of us refuse to let go of the black sack.
Sadly, some of us spend all the days of our lives lugging that sackful of black past with us wherever we go. We allow the contents of that black sack to tarnish every experience we have.
Lugging that big bag of black energy zaps us of the ability to perceive love, peace, and happiness.
Think of the children's story, The Little Engine That Could . The little engine's mantra is 'I think I can, I think I can. And he did.

Tips for Living Your Best Life
A few tips for living your best life:
- Your top priority is to believe in yourself.
- Help others as often as the opportunity presents itself.
- Choose to practise the power of positive thought.
- Realise your value as a human being on this planet.
- Recognise your talents and be proud of your accomplishments.
- Be kind to animals, friends, lovers, all humans, all ages.
- Most of all, be kind to yourself. Don't give in to the dragons. They are extremely difficult to shake if they get a foothold in your thought process.
- Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you.
Believe..
Believe in yourself.
We live on an equal opportunity planet.
When we come to believe in ourselves, when we recognise, realise, and subsequently reach for the abundance of spiritual, physical and financial wealth available to us, our eyes focus and we become able to look forward with curiosity. We also become able to look back without fear.
Believe in yourself, your worth, your many talents. Believe your future is bright.
Fake it until you make it is an often quoted cliche'. The reason it is often quoted is because it is true. Like every life lesson presented to us, individually and collectively, practise makes perfect.
It takes awareness and willingness to turn a frown upside down, especially if that frown has become etched on your soul.
Regardless, it is worth a shot. What have you got to lose?
What you have to lose are many precious moments of peace, love and happiness.
Ultimately, if we practise and pursue "Living in the Light', we will realise our best life, be able to live our best life. We are then able to live, laugh, accept and give love.
Sounds like a fairy tale but it is true, when you think you can, when you believe you can, you will. You will succeed in your journey of living your best life.
So, it is about that simple..Believe.
Make it a great day.

ShyeAnne, terrific hub. I am being treated for both clinical depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), but one of the primary things that keeps the diseases from really "doing me in" is that I am a firm believer in the power of positive thinking.
Look what the chant "I think I can, I think I can" did for The Little Engine That Could. I truly believe that positive thinking can move a mountain.
How we live our lives is determined mostly by how we see ourselves within it. Good work Honey.
Beautiful words and sometimes hard to fit into life.
I suppose if one practiced enough, one day it would just be natural. What a wonderful concept.
